My name is Julian Kwabena Adu, I am a visual creative artist and I go by JKA Visual Arts. I’ve been creating art since the age of 9. During my high school years I experienced art using oil pastel, oil paints, water painting, acrylic and pencil art. While I enjoyed that I had found a love for pencil art. Being self taught, I loved to draw portraits in my leisure time. My work is inspired by black culture containing historical moments and legends. Years have gone by and my love has now evolved into oil painting. There is just something about the use of colors that intrigues and calms me.  I’m able to express myself a lot more compared to using a pencil. Being able to express my love for many things on a canvas with colour is the best feeling.
